We’ve got local favorites, and even some of Jacksonville and Atlanta’s finest visiting our city this weekend!! The next FUNKY DOPE FRIDAY goes down in Gainesville, Friday, January 27th, 2012 at THE LABORATORY!! If you don’t know about this event, it’s one of the most consistent emcee and bboy battles Gainesville (arguably Florida) has ever seen!! It’s run by DJs from the highly respected turntablist crew, THE TABLE HOGS!! Both emcees and bboys, regularly travel from Tallahassee, Orlando, Tampa and throughout the state to attend and compete purely for respect, recognition and display of their craft! Though not always a monthly event, when this event does go down, it’s always dope, it’s always funky, and it’s always on a Friday…well, usually…anyhow, it’s dope! Oh yeah, and it’s FREE!!
